Our goal is to get your injury resolved as quickly and effectively as we can. And here’s how we do that.

Dedicated one on one time

Part of what makes our office unique is the amount of time we spend with our patients. Every new injury visit is a full hour and every follow up visit is 30 minutes. This gives us time to work through the nuances of your pain and make sure you are being heard as a patient. The longer visits also allows us to resolve injuries faster than most other offices and gets you back to work, life and recreational activities very quickly.

Detailed history and exam

Every patient that comes to our office with a new injury will have a thorough history and exam on the first visit. That will help us pin point where the pain might be coming from and this will give us a game plan for determining the best treatment.

Hands on care

Once we’ve discussed what the diagnosis is we start treatment and spend about half of the visit doing hands on care. This includes various types of manual therapy including cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue work, deep myofascial work as well as joint mobilization and manipulation. The goal of this portion of the visit is to decrease pain and improve motion and function. Once we have achieved that we move on to the active care component of the visit.

Active care

Although the hands on care can feel like it is the most important, the active care is really the bread and butter of getting people out of pain and keeping it from coming back. Once we are able to get people moving better with less pain we develop a custom rehab plan for them and walk them through it in the office. We progress or regress these movements with each visit as we see fit and we use research are patient feedback to guide us in which rehab exercises we choose. And to make sure patients don’t forget their homework we make sure to email them their unique list of exercises to be done at home after each visit.
